Why Quality Certifications Are Important!

The International Accreditation Service, Inc. (IAS) is the quality accreditation division of the International Code Council (ICC), the authors of the International Building Code (IBC). The IAS confers accreditation based upon IBC and other quality criteria, to assure the quality of your building. Building officials rely upon the IAS inspection and accreditation program. For accreditation, our manufacturing facility is inspected four (4) times per year by independent and objective IAS/IBC quality experts. [Fabricator Inspection Program FA-359.]

The International Code Council and its Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) are authors of the International Building Code (IBC) and the BOCA Building Code. The ICC-ES employs highly experienced architects, engineers and other experts to perform product and fabrication evaluations and issue reports. Its staff has literally centuries of experience in evaluating the strength, safety and performance of building products. Building officials, contractors, structural engineers and other experts look to this certification to provide assurance that products meet critical building code requirements. Welding and fabrication not performed at the erection site are so critical to safety and performance that the ICC-ES requires our manufacturing facility be inspected four (4) times per year by outside, independent building code experts. Every weld on your building package is personally inspected by a trained welding inspector certified by the American Welding Society (AWS), the agency that develops national welding standards.

The Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), a Division of the CWB Group, is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a Certification Body. The accreditation covers the welding certification programs for companies engaged in fusion welding, welding consumables and welding inspection organizations.
